About me:

I started to learn the trade with my dad who was one of the best decorators I have ever get met. I came to Hardgate 7 years ago and have enjoyed it since the day I started. Met loads of amazing people. My intentions were to always climb the ladder in Hardgate so here we are!

The best thing about my job is:

The satisfaction after our work is done and you see the final product. I get a lot of pride in what we do. Meeting new people on every job.

Goals:

To give me and my family the best life.

If i won the lottery:

Tell my mum and brothers to retire.

About me:

I came through the ranks at Hardgate, starting here as an apprentice. Painting is in my blood, I have multiple family members in the painting industry.

The best thing about my job is:

The thing I love most about my job is getting to work with great people from all walks of life. The stories they share can make your day.

Goals:

To continuously educate and better myself.

If i won the lottery:

I’d buy a big mansion with a heated pool for me and the family to live in.

About me:

I’ve worked in the industry for over 18 years and I am now a Supervisor at Hardgate. I have previously won awards for Painting and Decorating; Crown and Dulux ‘Apprentice of the Year’ and ‘Tradesman of the year’ in 2020 and 2021 at The Scottish Business Awards. This has allowed me to develop my experience, knowledge and skills within the industry.

The best thing about my job is:

Being involved in projects from start to finish and seeing the end product is the most rewarding part of my job. I also enjoy teaching apprentices and giving them the skills and knowledge to prepare them for the opportunities ahead. Everyone at Hardgate is driven and working towards the shared goal of success for the company which is great to be a part of.

Goals:

To continue to learn and evolve and create the best future for my family.

If i won the lottery:

Buy a house abroad and fly the whole family out on Dave’s pilot licence.

About me:

I began working in the industry at 16 years old when I enrolled in a college course for basic level painting and decorating. After this I sought an apprenticeship and the rest is history. Over the years I have worked all over the U.K and also abroad on a diverse range of projects which help me bring an eclectic perspective on our work.

The best thing about my job is:

Job satisfaction is certainly a driving motivation. Being in a position to confidently offer guidance and advice to the younger generation would be something I enjoy also.

I am Accounts Manager at Hardgate Painting. I have worked in both the Public and Private Sector. At Hardgate I manage and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department.

I am a Foreman at Hardgate Painting

I have been in the trade for almost 22 years, most of which has been with Hardgate.

I am the quiet, reserved one of the team!!

The Best Thing About My Job Is:

The best thing about my job is the people I work with. Hardgate is a great place to work and learn new things.  I like the fact that training is always available to anyone who wants it.

My Biggest Personal Goal Is:

My goal is to keep trying my best for Hardgate and to make the company a success for myself and my friends that work there.

I would build my own house and likely give the majority of the money to my kids.

A Bit About Me:

My background is 32 years (you would never guess by looking at me) in painting and decorating.  26 years in a family business before joining Hardgate.

Since joining Hardgate I have progressed to the position of Project Forewoman.

The best thing about my job is working with a team of professional people who are passionate about their work.

I love meeting new people on different projects be it tradesmen or management and working together to deliver amazing projects.

My Biggest Personal Goal Is:

Watching my two boys, Darren and Dean grow into two men that I am very proud of.

Build my dream home and travel the world.

A Bit About Me:

My biggest passion in life is football ,I love watching my son play and when he’s not playing we love going to watch Glasgow Celtic.

I love family holidays in our favourite place Bulgaria we have been going there for the last 7 years and I find this the perfect place to go and relax and recharge my batteries.

A Bit About Me:

I am Contracts  Manager at Hardgate Painting

I am a decorator to trade (like to think a really good one at one time).

Very conscientious about quality and customer service!

At Hardgate I manage and oversee the daily operations of My own Contracts. Acting as the go between for Hardgate Management, the Site Foreman and the project/ site management and clients. Its my job to make sure that all contracts are handed over on program, within budget & to the highest possible standards (as well as a myriad of other tasks LOL).

The Best Thing About My Job Is:

 Getting out and about to all parts of the country and meeting new people!

My Biggest Personal Goal Is:

To live a long and happy life and see my family do the same, grow and fulfil all of their own goals in life.

If I Won The Lottery I Would:

Learn to sail, buy a big cabin cruiser and tour the marinas of Europe with friends and family.

A Bit About Me:

I’m a Paint supervisor with Hardgate Painting.

Taking projects through from start to finish.

I’ve worked in the construction industry both private and commercial and also in shipbuilding (MOD).

When you see the fruits of the squads labour coming together and seeing the finished product.

If I Won The Lottery I Would:

Visit Canada Oz and Dubai.

A Bit About Me:

Prior to working at Hardgate, I worked with a Main Contractor for 13 years where I worked as part of a team delivering numerous projects. This previous experience provided me with an insight into the inner workings of Main Contracting and allows me to ensure that we provide our Clients with the service and support that they need.

The Best Thing About My Job Is:

Working from home when I need to is definitely up there with the “best thing about my job” but I also love seeing the team deliver difficult projects to a high standard – something that we do on a regular basis.

My Biggest Personal Goal Is

To continue with the path that I’m on and to keep chasing a better version of myself. Finding time to play more golf would also be up there.

If I Won The Lottery I Would:

Probably pay someone to do my job for me.
